    Eat shit and die!: Diese Phrase wird auf ähnliche Art verwendet, wie ,fuck you!' Sie wird verwendet, um Ärger über jemanden auszudrücken.

    Example Dialogue 1:
    David: I finally split up with my girlfriend.
    Fiona: Oh really, how did she take it?
    David: Umm, she told me to eat shit and die!
    Fiona: So she didn’t take it very well then?
    David: No, not really.

    In the shit: Wenn Du ,in the shit' bist oder ,in deep shit' dann heißt das, dass Du in großen Schwierigkeiten steckst. ,Drop someone in the shit' bedeutet jedoch, dass Du jemanden in Schwierigkeiten bringst.

    Example Dialogue 1:
    David: I am completely in the shit at work recently.
    Fiona: Why, what’s happening?
    David: Well, my boss has discovered that I am a lazy bastard and never really do any work!
    Fiona: How did he find out?
    David: My assistant told my boss that she does most of my work.

    David: Yes of course it’s true, but she didn’t have to drop me in the shit like that.

    To be shit out of luck: Dies verwendet man, wenn die Sache, die man möchte, unmöglich ist.

    Fiona: I was hoping to borrow your car over the weekend.
    David: I’m afraid you’re shit out of luck.
    Fiona: Why?
    David: I don’t have a car!

    A shit head: Dies beschreibt jemanden, den Du absolut nicht magst.

    Example Dialogue 1:
    David: I’m thinking about quitting my job.
    Fiona: Why? The money’s good and you hardly do any work.
    David: I know but my boss is a real shit head.
    Fiona: Of course he is! All bosses are shit heads.
    David: But you are the boss at your company!
    Fiona: Oh yeaa! All bosses except for me are shit heads!.

    To be shit faced (GB English): Das heißt, dass Du sehr betrunken bist.

    David: I’ll probably go out and get shit faced on Friday night.

    Fiona: You’re not very imaginative are you?

    To be full of shit: Das heißt, dass jemand lügt oder dass er ständig Unsinn redet.

    Example Dialogue 1:
    Fiona: I am thinking about changing my career.
    David: Oh really? What do you want to do?
    Fiona: I don’t know.
    David: Well what are your skills?
    Fiona: Well I don’t really have any!
    David: I wouldn’t say that. You are full of shit!
    Fiona: This is true. Perhaps I should be a politician or work on TV.
    David: You’d be perfect for both of them.

    A shit stirrer: Dies beschreibt jemanden, der absichtlich Unruhe stiftet. Wenn jemand ständig Dinge sagt, von denen er weiß, dass sie Unruhe stiften, dann ist er ,a shit stirrer'. Es ist jedoch wichtig anzumerken, dass diese Person aus Spaß Unruhe stiftet und nicht zum Vorteil einer anderen Person.

    Example Dialogue 1:
    Fiona: I heard that your brother lost his job.
    David: Yes, but I’m not surprised.
    Fiona: Why?
    David: Well he kept on saying to his boss “how is your wife, is she well?”
    Fiona: What’s wrong with that?.
    David: The wife left him and took all of his money last year.
    Fiona: Oh, did your brother know?
    David: Of course he did, he’s just a complete shit stirrer and wanted to cause his boss to get angry or upset.
    Fiona: Well, it looks like he succeeded!

    Holy shit!: Dieser Ausdruck wird verwendet, um Überraschung auszudrücken. Wenn Du zum Beispiel plötzlich einen Deiner Freunde im TV siehst, rufst Du möglicherweise ,holy shit! John's on TV!'

    Achtung! Da diese Phrase das Wort ,holy' beinhaltet, kann der Ausdruck als Blasphemie angesehen werden.

    Das Wort ,piss' ist auch weit verbreitet, wird jedoch meist in Verbindung mit anderen Worten verwendet, anstatt alleine.

    Um Ärgernis auszudrücken

    To be pissed* (US English)/pissed off (GB English): Dies wird verwendet, um zu beschreiben, dass man sehr verärgert ist. Sei jedoch vorsichtig, denn die amerikanische Version beschreibt lediglich, dass man verärgert ist, nichts anderes. Die amerikanische Version kann also als ,I am pissed, she is pissed, they are pissed, etc.' verwendet werden. ,To be pissed off' ist
