still, the tip of his prick against the back of Sam’s throat.
“Fuck, Sam,” Bo sobbed, and came. Sam swallowed the hot, salty fluid, feeling like a god.
“Good Lord.” Bo let out a contented sigh. “Sam, you outdid yourself. C’mon up here.”
Letting Bo’s cock slip out of his mouth, Sam carefully withdrew his finger, making Bo whimper. Sam crawled up to lie down beside Bo and pulled the man into his arms. “Did you like that?”
“Very much.” Draping his injured leg across Sam’s thighs, Bo snuggled against him, one arm tucked around his middle. “I had no idea prostate stimulation felt that good. It was…God, I don’t even have the words.”
“It’s okay, I know what you mean.”
“Yes, I suppose you do.” Bo kissed Sam’s collarbone. “Sam?”
“Hm?” Sam combed his hand lazily through Bo’s hair. The way the long satin strands flowed between his fingers fascinated him.
“What happens now?”
“You could move in with me,” Sam suggested, kissing Bo’s brow.
Bo pinched Sam’s nipple, making him yelp. “Sam…”
“Yeah, I know. Sorry.”
Propping himself on one elbow, Bo gazed solemnly into Sam’s eyes. “I’d like to, one day. Just not yet.”
Sam smiled at him. “I know. It’s fine. We’re together, and that’s all I need right now.”
Bo traced Sam’s jaw with his fingertips, his eyes shining. “Thank you for that.”
“You’re welcome.” Drawing Bo’s face down to his, Sam collected a soft, sweet kiss. “So what did you mean? When you said ‘what happens now’?”
“I actually meant about the portal. Or, well, other possible portals, I guess.” Bo kissed Sam’s chin. “What about them?”
“Do you believe the one at South Bay High is closed?” Nuzzling Sam’s cheek, Bo rolled on top of him, straddling his hips. “Do you think there are others?”
Sam shivered with pleasure as Bo’s fingers plucked at his nipples. “I…I think the one at the school’s gone. At least I didn’t pick up any sense of it—oh shit, Bo, do that again—I, I didn’t sense it when I went over there yesterday. Jesus, you’re turning me on again.”
“That’s the idea.” Shimmying down Sam’s body, Bo snagged a nipple between his teeth and tugged. “What about others?” he mumbled, moving over to worry the other nipple.
Sam’s ability to think was rapidly degenerating under Bo’s determined onslaught. Furrowing his brow, he made a mighty effort to focus. “Um. I, I think there’s definitely others. We—God yes—we, uh, we’ve already encountered two in the last few months. Gotta be more.” He arched against Bo’s mouth.
Bo raised his head. “Why is it that we’ve managed to run up against two inter-dimensional gateways in four months, when we had no idea they even existed before that?”
Sam blinked at him, trying to shift his mental gears from sex to shop talk . “I haven’t thought about that.”
“It’s been bothering me.” Dipping his head, Bo delicately licked Sam’s nipple, the one he’d been biting moments before. “Andre felt the one at Oleander House almost right away, just like you did. He’d never felt that on any of our other investigations.” He caressed the inside of Sam’s thigh. “And for that matter, Oleander House was your first time experiencing a portal as well, wasn’t it?”
“Yeah.” Sam opened his legs, obeying the gentle urging of Bo’s hands. “What do you think that means?”
Settling between Sam’s thighs, Bo wedged his hips against Sam’s groin. “I don’t know. But I have this feeling the portals are multiplying. Or the barriers between realities are becoming more unstable. Whatever it is, I don’t like it.”
Unease curled in Sam’s belly. Reaching up, he framed Bo’s face in his hands. “Let’s not talk about that right now. Make love to me before you go.”
“I like that idea.” Bending down, Bo brushed his parted lips against Sam’s. “I love this. Love you.”
“Love you,” Sam echoed, running his hands up and down Bo’s bare back.
When Bo’s hungry mouth claimed his, Sam let the passion of it drown out the uneasy thoughts of dimensional portals and the things on the other side. He knew what his plans were regarding the gateways between worlds—find them, and close them. He’d made that promise to himself in those endless hours waiting to see if Bo would live. No one, he’d decided, would ever endure that kind of agony again if he could help it.
“Sam?” Bo drew back enough to give
