Devils & Blue Dresses: My Wild Ride as a Rock and Roll Legend

Mediterranean Sea. Dreaming, always dreaming about living such a life every day. But for someone who is barely surviving, in fact collapsing, under the weight of my financial burdens, it remains just a dream.
    Portugal
Like the Spanish, the Portugese were extremely aggressive in their approach to dominate unexplored new worlds as they reached the height of their power. Despite their geographic proximity to each other, Portugal was more than eager to conquer the new world. But when you walk through the villages and towns, it is very much like Northern Spain, and it is beautiful along the shorelines.
    Denmark
Supposedly the land of the Vikings. I’ve never performed in Denmark, but because of its closeness to Germany, I’ve made a few holidays there.
    Sweden
Sweden is very much like Denmark in that I have yet to perform there, but it is an exceptional country when you come to understand the rich history connected to it.
    England
I’ve been there many times and a lot of memories have been tucked away. I’ve been quoted over the years declaring my hatred for the British, but I’m not talking about the general public. I’m talking about the music industry. I have a lot of fans in Northern England and have performed in England several times. I do, however, hold the same contempt for the music industry in England as I do for the music industry in America. I’m certain none of this will help me in the future. I don’t know, how would you feel about an industry that tried to diminish and destroy you? Megan and I have been to England to visit the birthplace of her ancestors and their gravesites in Clovelly. We have thoroughly enjoyed it, and on our wall hangs a portrait of Megan that was done on our first visit.
    Japan
The Japanese understand beauty to a degree that is unimaginable to the Western mind. Hard to believe, coming from a country of fierce warriors. Tokyo, Nagasaki and all the rest of the major cities were a part of my tour of Japan, but what most impressed me were the temples, and the attention given to landscape. I was told that 97 percent of the population is native born Japanese. That tells a lot about how they feel about foreigners.
    Jamaica, The Bahamas, Puerto Rico, Bermuda, Majorca, Hawaii and Barbados

APPENDIX C
    The case I wanted to present in this book, beyond the obvious details of my personal life, deals with my acceptance and accomplishments as an artist. Before that argument can be presented it would help the public to be aware of my recorded history because that is where the issue of “relative success” can be best answered.
